Warm-up Hockey

"HOCKEY PLAYER FIRST,

WHY: You did not skate for a few days/weeks, want to get ready for the hockey festival, enhance your puck and skating skills, so come and JOIN US with our dynamic hockey staff! Your will receive quality instruction from a staff that knows and loves the game. All of our drills will focus on discipline, effort, and skills enhancement, while being a pleasure for the kids.

WHERE: INVISTA Multiplex Community Centre, located at 1350 Gardiners Rd., Kingston, Ontario, K7P 0E5

WHEN: Thursday, 2 July 2009 for all levels:        

  • Level 2003/2002: "5-on-5" hockey format; 5:00-6:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Level 2001: "5-on-5" hockey format; 5:00-6:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Level 2000: "5-on-5" hockey format; 6:00-7:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Level 1999: "4-on-4" hockey format; 9:00-10:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Level 1998: "4-on-4" hockey format; 9:00-10:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Girls U8: "5-on-5" hockey format; 6:00-7:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Girls U10: "4-on-4" hockey format; 8:00-9:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Goalie Drills for levels 2003, 2002, 2001 & Girls U8; 7:00-8:00PM (tentative scheduled time)
  • Goalie Drills for levels 2000, 1999, 1998 & Girls U10; 8:00-9:00PM (tentative scheduled time) If you register for the Goalie session, you do not have to register for any other level above as you will be invited to join your respective level if we need goalies for that session.

FORMAT: The "warm-up hockey session" will be sub-divided on stretching and skating exercises without the puck; skating and puck drills, game with no red line and icing, and finally a shootout with FUN.

GOALIE SESSION FORMAT include variety of innovative drills that will focus on "specific skating techniques", positioning skills, crease awareness, shooter challenge, puck rebounds, goal angles, skating pivots and lunges, post-position, concentration, & puck playing. The basic training structure would involve 9-10 nets set up in different sections of the ice with a rotating system of groups of  2 or 3 that work on specific skills at each station.

PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE: $31 (include 2% for transaction fee with PayPal). Spaces for this Warm-Up session are unfortunately limited! Some levels filled quickly, so PLEASE try to book early to avoid disappointment. Follow the procedure below to complete the registration form and to pay your registration fee through PayPal. You will receive a notice from our office as soon your registration is fully paid.
